Visiting this website
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes the technical details of each request (IP address, browser, the page asked for) to deliver and protect the site, and can give us aggregate visit counts.
What we collect
From the person who asks for a look (Vitrine): name, role or title, business, e-mail, phone if given, the site’s address, the written ask (a signed form, an e-mail, or a CAD 0 order through Stripe), the proof of control for the paid rungs, and their dates.
From the site itself: only what it shows any visitor and what the public records of its domain say, including the contact details printed on its pages, read at each look.
From payment: Stripe collects the payment details; we receive the receipt (name, e-mail, amount). We never see card numbers.
When you write to us: your message and the address it came from.
Why
To record the ask and the proof (the basis of every look), to deliver the notice, the page and the call, to take the second look, to bill, to answer you, and to be able to show later that a look was authorized.
How long
The copy of a notice: twelve months after the last deliverable.
The ask, the proof of control and the contract: three years after the last deliverable (the period in which a claim can be made, C.c.Q. 2925).
Payment records: as long as tax law requires. Then deletion. A withdrawn authorization ends the looks the same day.
Who sees it
Presta’s founder sees the whole file. The account manager who introduced you to Presta receives the “your next steps” page only. Nothing is sold or published. These providers process information for Presta, all outside Quebec:
- Stripe (payments; also the CAD 0 order of the free look, which carries your name, e-mail, business, the site’s address, your role and your authorization).
- Anthropic (Claude), an AI service whose servers are in the United States, which helps draft and proof-read the notice: the notice text and the observation record pass through it, never your payment data.
- Cloudflare (this website, and the routing of e-mail sent to prestasoftware.com) and the mailbox the e-mail lands in.
- GitHub (Presta’s private repositories, which keep the list of businesses that have talked to us and the contact person’s name).
Your rights
To see what we hold about you, to correct it, to withdraw consent, and to ask for deletion, write to marco@prestasoftware.com. The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Presta is Marco Presta, President, marco@prestasoftware.com. You may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or, outside Quebec, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Incidents
If personal information we hold is lost, accessed or disclosed without authorization, we take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of harm and we record the incident. If it presents a risk of serious harm, we promptly notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned (and, outside Quebec, the Commissioner), and we say what happened and what we did.
